The all-new BMW iX3 M electric SUV has been launched in the Nepalese market at a price of Rs 2,29,96,000. Laxmi Premium Motors, the sole authorized importer and distributor of BMW cars in Nepal, has now ignited BMW's electrification journey in Nepal with the company's first all-electric SUV.
Powered by an 80 kWh battery pack, the BMW iX3 M delivers a range of up to 460 km (WLTP). The BMW iX3 M utilizes the brand’s fifth-generation eDrive powertrain from the single-motor BMW iX model. The BMW iX3 M is only available in a single-motor, rear-wheel drive configuration. The drive system generates a maximum output of 210 kW and a peak torque of 400 Nm.
The BMW ix3 M accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.8 seconds and the top speed is electronically limited to 180 km/h. Charging the electric SUV takes around seven and a half hours using the maximum AC charging power of 11 kW; alternatively, you can top-up the battery through a DC fast charger at up to 150 kW, filling it up to 80% in just 32 minutes.
The ix3 also gets the M Sport package as standard. This package brings bigger air intakes, L-shaped air curtains with blue accents and other aerodynamic upgrades. Similarly, 19-inch aerodynamic wheels are fitted as standard on the BMW ix3 with an option of 20-inch M-specific styling wheels. Sports seats are also fitted as standard, while a modern control panel in the centre console and restyled controls in the centre of the instrument panel add to the premium ambience of the cabin. The BMW Live Cockpit Professional fitted as standard features a control display whose screen diagonal has been increased to 12.3 inches.
Laxmi Premium Motors currently offers BMW X1 sDrive18i, BMW X3 xDrive 20i, BMW X5 xDrive45e (PHEV), BMW 5 Series (PHEV) and BMW 7 Series. With the launch of the new BMW iX3 in Nepal, it is expected that it would create a strong presence in the premium EV segment as well.
